His recent work has included work on significant outsourcing contracts, patent licensing, software licensing and distribution. His previous corporate experience means he can provide a broad spectrum of guidance to technology companies. His experience includes designing software and founding an IT industry pressure group.

Johanna Probert

Jo has nearly 20 years’ experience in Corporate Law. After graduating from the University of Kent, she spent her early career with a specialist mergers and acquisitions law firm in the City of London. Prior to joining Probert Legal, Jo was part of the Business Group at Michelmores for nine years, where she rose to become a Corporate Partner and was singled out for praise by the Chambers Legal Guide. Jo specialises in mergers and acquisitions, MBO’s and MBI’s, restructuring, refinancing, joint ventures and private equity. She has very strong experience in the renewable energy sector and the healthcare sector. Jo also speaks fluent German.

Tracey Wakelam

Tracey’s experience covers a range of information law, intellectual property issues with an emphasis of data protection and privacy matters. Tracey has also advised on a wide variety of commercial contracts. Before joining Probert Legal, Tracey spent three years as Senior Legal Officer for the Commercial Team at Cornwall Council. Here she was the lead legal advisor to CORMAC, Cornwall Council’s highway company. Tracey also provided legal advice to all council departments on commercial matters. Prior to this Tracey spent three years as Legal Advisor to the Office of Government Commerce Legal Team in Westminster where she advised on commercial contracts and trade mark and copyright licensing.  Tracey was instrumental in setting up the first formal licensing scheme for the UK government owned brands PRINCE2 and ITIL.

Lucie Biddick

Lucie is a specialist employment lawyer with over ten years’ experience. Lucie has been ranked by Chambers & Partners as a Leader in the field of employment law since 2010, most recently as a Star Associate. Having originally trained and qualified with Ashfords LLP, Lucie then spent two years with Charles Russell LLP. In April 2009, Lucie was made an Associate of Kitsons LLP, where she worked with and supported a diverse range of businesses and organisations, including SME’s, charities and PLC’s.
Charles Drayson

Charles trained with one of the premiere law firms in London and has also spent some years as the in-house lawyer for a large outsourcing services provider. Charles has worked on many overseas projects, especially frequent projects in the US. He has specialised in work for the IT industry for over 15 years. He is a former winner of the Legal IT Award for Mitigating Risk Through the Use of IT.
